Starting Residency
Just like that, we are back into the swing of school. This time it has a different feeling to it... it's actually our last step before launching into the real world. We have been working for this so hard... and it is here!
We had a little rocky start the weekend before school started. Logan took off to go and get his ID badge... hit a curb and blew a tire. Thankfully Costco was able to get in two new tires and have it fixed before the Tuesday start date!
Tuesday rolled around and off Logan went! We didn't wake up early enough to send him off but we got a few pictures from him during the day and snapped a pic once he got home. Look at all of that gear! We were in charge of getting all of his own instruments ($4000)... and then paying $4000 on the first day for more tools, cameras and computers! Our bank account took a nice hit... but hopefully there will be a lot of Southwest points!
The first few weeks of school were boot camp... basically a crash course before they start seeing patients. We have never had to pack a lunch for Logan over the past few years so we are trying to get in the routine of that. Benson is really confused where Logan disappears to each day and loves playing when he gets home.
We ended our first week by taking our first field trip to visit Dr. Carter for lunch! There is this awesome student ran cafe right next to the clinic that has some incredible food.
I snagged this little bounce house on Walmart delivery for $15! It ended up being a pricing error... but I got away with it! Benson and I make many trips to the park each day and went and fed some goats!
Making cookies + feeding ducks!
Just like that! June is over. :) Logan is loving residency and we are getting back into a groove.
