South Alabama Orthodontics
Logan fits the mold, don’t ya think? :)
We left our trip in October feeling like we found the best job and future life possible. In December, Logan was sent a contract to review. We feel so excited and thankful for this opportunity.
We made plans to go to Alabama after AAO, sign the contract and look at homes.
It was an easy drive to Alabama, we checked into our AirBnB and Ben couldn’t wait to get in the pool!
Monday
We spent the day with Savannah looking at houses. It was such a fun day and super helpful to get a feel for the area. Back to enjoying the pool!
Tuesday
Logan spent the morning at the office. Ben and I went to the purple park and then we met him at lunch time for a staff meeting. It was great to get introduced to the staff and hand out some little gifts. Ben slept through the entire thing!
Wednesday
I spent the morning at the Grand Spa. It was great!! We grabbed some food after and Logan went back to the office for the afternoon. When he got home we went to Bucee’s for dinner!
Thursday
We spent the day back in Mobile, meeting with another friend. It was a really fun day! We came back and went to dinner at a pizza place in Daphne. It was delicious! Whit's wrapped up our night with some frozen custard. Yum!
Friday
We were invited to go to a friend's beach home about an hour away for the morning. We had the BEST time. He fed us lunch, got out the riding lawn mower for Ben to drive and made us feel right at home. Southern hospitality is unmatched. :)
We drove back into Daphne to meet Rick + Shane to sign Logan's contract. There was a miscommunication about how long we could stay... and they ended up kicking us out. So the signing happened on the porch, hilarious!
Logan's friend Noah (from dental school) purchased a practice in Pensacola. We've tried a few times to meet up with him, but nothing has worked out yet. The stars finally aligned and he met us for dinner with his girlfriend. We had a great time and it was so fun to see him! It will be fun to be closer to him.
Saturday
We spent the morning packing, will drive back to New Orleans late tonight and fly out tomorrow morning.
Shane + Elisabeth's oldest daughter is graduating high school. We all attended a graduation party for her and it was so fun! Ben was loving the giant bounce houses.
We finished up packing and met back with everyone for the steak cook off! It was so much fun. We spent the evening trying different steak bites and sides with Shane + Elisabeth... we lost Marjorie and Rick somewhere along the way! Ben slept in the stroller the entire time, so it was a great night together!
We are so happy + feel so lucky to be joining this practice later this year. Roll Tide!
