New Orleans - AAO
One evening we were talking about when our next trip to Alabama would be. We needed to find a time to sign Logan’s contract and look at homes in Mobile. AAO in New Orleans came up and it seemed like a great time to kill two birds with one stone. :)
Friday
Our flight left late, 10:30pm. Security with TSA pre check was a breeze! We ate some dinner and took off! It was a fun flight with all of our friends.
We landed, secured our Turo, dropped Hardik and Mika off at their hotel, and settled in at our ours around the corner.
It was nearing 2 am by the time we had showered and set up beds for the night. Ben fell asleep quickly, but an altercation through the wall kept our eyes wide open! Screaming, crying, gagging (???)…. After looking at a map we thought it was in a side bathroom rather than a room. It all abruptly ended after 40 minutes and we went to sleep.
5 am two alarms were going off through the wall. It woke me up, but Logan and Ben remained asleep. I tried for nearly an hour to go back to sleep but the longer I laid there and thought about the fighting people… the more I was worried they were dead next door. I woke up Logan and he called the front desk. They tried knocking on the door forever before the alarms finally stopped. We still don’t know what was going on. Right as we were dosing off, other alarms started going off in other rooms. Ah! Thankfully we slept in until 9:30.
We walked thru the AAO (after they made us ditch our stroller) with Hardik and Mika and had a great time! Logan really wants one of these!!
Us girls took off to the aquarium with the kids and boy was it hot and humid!
We grabbed some lunch after and took a nap. Logan went off to dinner and the girls came over to swim in the pool. It was freezing!
Sunday
The same issue happened with the alarms… starting at 5 am. It rotated through the normal apple alarm, piano keys, ducks honking, doorbell… we were going INSANE! Thankfully Ben slept through it all.
We met Sabrina, Brielle, Jaylee and Ellie at Storyland. It was fun, but getting so hot!
We walked around the AAO until Rick was done and drove to Alabama.
