March 2021

IT'S BABY MONTH!

We don't have an official induction date... but March 17th will be 37 weeks and it will be close to that. We are both so anxious for it to get here and I am SO uncomfortable.

We have been soaking up our time together. Putting together our mat, getting some treats, quilting Lizzie's wedding quilt + finalizing a newborn shoot! I looked high and low for someone. I think I finally found the perfect solution.

I am still going to the hospital twice a week to do a NST and an ultrasound for fluid levels. It's been pretty uneventful! The tech today told me he has a lot of hair. Yay!

Finno getting in his last days of being an only child ... haha.

The cutest gift from my cousins!

I think when anyone imagines themselves pregnant it's usually this perfect, beautiful, glowing version of themselves. Yeah... I didn't think I would be swollen beyond belief and feel soooo foreign to my own body. My legs are sooo swollen!

36 Weeks + an induction set for March 18th!

We spent our last weekend together trying a new place, Russell's. Soooo yummy!

Oh finny. Your life is about to be rocked!

Our final NST + ultrasound!!!

Last few days together. Logan bought a chainsaw, cut down a tree. Replaced some grout. Bouncing out this baby!

The last lovenox shot!!!!! March 17th

We woke up on Thursday, March 18th... so anxious and excited! Here's how the next few days went down....

Benson Chase Carter
The long awaited arrival of Benson Chase Carter!

What a whirlwind!!! It was so fun for my parents to meet Benson. I was relieved to have my mom here.

We spent the next few days trying to figure out breastfeeding, checking jaundice levels and somehow I just kept swelling!

At 5 days old we traveled down to Washington, MO for newborn pics. It was the most incredible experience!!

The remaining days of March we settled into our new life. :) We are so excited you are finally here Benny!
