January 2025
Logan starts his job, we get a snowstorm of a lifetime + Syd turns 28!

Oh 2025 - I can’t believe it’s time for another new year.
We enjoyed ninja turtle muffins, the sunshine and cooking on the blackstone!

Logan had his first official day of work! Seems crazy we are finally in this stage of life. Ben missed him all day long and insisted on waiting outside for his arrival!

Logan only had one day of work before it was the weekend. We are loving having Fridays off!! Enjoyed an ice cream run.

My Christmas bonus was a Costco giftcard, and boy did we have some fun shopping! So much fun we went back for a second round after checking out. Enjoyed the blow up and juicing more oranges!

Back to work and another week. :) Ben and I played and are trying to get adjusted to a new schedule.

We tried out our fireplace… turns out the flute was not open and the quartz material surrounding the fireplace should not be done like it is. We heard a crack - oops!

Ben is so good at rolling out rolls! He did these all himself! They turned out so good we took some to our neighbor for dinner

More fun moments through out the week.

Things are starting to be in full swing at the new office! We went and visited during lunch, changed out the light bulbs and had a good time!

I saw on my ring door bell notifications there was a house fire on Pierson drive. This was the road we tried to buy a house on … so I drove through the neighborhood to see and it was the house right next door! Crazy and so sad.

Logan’s staff played a funny joke on him… too good! They all went to lunch after.

Oh I love my Benny cat!

Valentine’s prep, finny snuggles and tubby time.

Lunch with doctor carter and puppy FaceTimes with manny!

Donuts from papa, visiting dad at work and prepping for the SAO Christmas party!

Great night with SAO!

Grammy and Ben had a great time while we were gone!

New bakery… on St. Louis street, yum!

We are obsessed with this clear protein!

Logan helped me put this shelving in for our shoes! Love it!

The boys got some fish for our pond!

We did some prep work for the inauguration party our neighbors hosted. We had such a fun time!

There were mumblings that snow was coming our way…

Boy, we woke up and there was snow!!!

We took a break, came inside and ate some crab legs… and the snow just kept coming!

Our neighbors asked to borrow our sled, we gave out all of the extra snow gear we had and spent the next few hours outside. It was SO much fun!

We ended the storm with nearly 10 inches of snow. It was the biggest storm in history! The last biggest storm was 6 inches in 1895. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

The next morning we met in the back of our houses and sledded down Beverly’s hill. So much fun!

The entire south was shut down for days!!

People were mostly concerned about when Waffle House would be open…

Thankfully I-10 opened back up and we made a run for it Thursday night to get to my mom’s house for my birthday. We made it around 10 pm and went to sleep.
The next morning we picked up my birthday cake. My mom asked the cashier how old he thought I was, I had no make up on so we thought he would say something young. I think my mom’s greyed hair threw him off and he said mid 30’s. YIKES! We had a good laugh.

Enjoyed the hot tub, and my ninja turtle :)

We went to dinner at the Florida Fish House to celebrate my birthday. It was delish! I even tried tomatoes … Huge ARFID win. :)

January 25
My 28th birthday! We woke up and got a Playa bowl from Rosemary Beach.

Logan made a spa appointment for my mom and I. It was so wonderful! We drove up to Destin and had the best time. We enjoyed lunch at Grimaldi’s after and this Oreo cheesecake was so good!

After we got back we all went to the beach to watch the sunset. It was so beautiful!

We got Benson the cutest American flag sweater from Carousel.

The next morning we slowly packed up and hit the road. Logan needed some new work shoes so we stopped in Destin and then drove home. Love this short 3 hour drive!

Reunited with Finn!

I saw this piece of furniture on Facebook marketplace and I needed it! Logan picked it up from an antique store in Fairhope on his way home. I love it!

Enjoying the sun and lunch with dad again!

Logan had his first round of dentist visits, I had a great time putting things together!

I have wanted to get all of our homes drawn, Damon helped me print them out. I am in love! Just waiting on our current house.

Family teeth cleaning :) Ben was a great assistant!

Ben loves ninja turtles lately. We saw this blanket at Target and he needed it!

We ended January with a trip to Greer’s St. Louis market. I saw it while trying out the new bakery. So good and fun! Ben enjoying a lunchable. :)
