February 2023
February 1st kicks off with my dad's 49th birthday.
Benson + I started the day by celebrating Cal's birthday at Sky Zone trampoline park! He loved it and loves the Mr. Potato head he came home with!
We celebrated Grandpa B's birthday that night with some ice cream!
I recieved a very kind gift from a Lead I work with. I have the best job + have gotten to know the coolest people! My yearly work expo is in a few weeks and I can't wait.
Benson loves to paint lately! Logan had a short day so we went back to the trampoline park!
Friday night Benson was up all night with a stuffy nose and fever. I placed an amazon order for some sick stuff at 2 am and it was all at my house by the time I woke up. He was feeling good enough for a selfie and some hand scans.
We have been restructuring our lives to cut out all of the unnecessary shit and toxins. We placed an order from Dutch Meadows and we were so excited to try everything! Logan made his favorite short ribs and he was in heaven. It felt so good to use the best, cleanest ingredients!
Benson's sickness started picking up and the poor dude was just tired and miserable. It's the worst feeling ever to be a helpless parent watching!
Grandma Mitzi sent the cutest Valentine's package and made Benson's day with his new socks! He loves the lobster pair she bought him from Maine so she made him a new pair!
Monday rolled around and it was the sickest I have ever seen Benson. He was so tired and out of it. He only wanted to sleep in the carrier so I walked and walked and walked!
Logan is my hero and asked if he could attend the afternoon lectures on zoom so he could help me out. Lots more snuggles and more walks!
A little bit of improvement the following day... but still taking it slow and getting lots of rest!
More improvement again on Wednesday... but a cough is now here and Logan and I are both feeling it!
How cute are these little scanned hands?!
I saw these cute fillable eggs and I have to make some!
Our Valentine's gifts to each other were spa days at the Four Seasons. Logan enjoyed a massage and Benson and I snuggled at home. We are really done feeling sick!
Logan cooked up his steak from Dutch Meadows, and we ran a few errands. I love these boys!
The first thing Benson wanted to do when he woke up was paint. So that's exactly what we did!
Another nap in the carrier and some darling pictures with his doggo, Finn.
It was time to take off to Texas! Our awesome week can be read here:
When I booked our tickets I was so relieved that the following Monday was President's Day. It was going to be awesome to have a day off to get back in the swing of things. Turns out they did not have the day off! Logan was thrown back into school with a TMJ test. Benson + I played hard all day long!
Logan rarely gets to come home for lunch anymore and so when he does we love it!
We made sugar cookies and jumped off the bed!
For Christmas Benson got a 3,000 pack of stickers. He loves them! But they are quite literally EVERYWHERE.
We have been playing with our sled in the front yard... until Benny's fingers made contact with our driveway. OUCH!
Never enough sink baths, wild expressions or doggo snuggles.
The last few days of February were spent playing, playing, playing. Feeling extra thankful I get to be home with Benson every day.
