December 2024
We had one full day together before Logan headed back to St. Louis for the last two weeks. We decorated for Christmas and had a great time! Logan took off on his flight and Benny fell right to sleep. He’s been so busy!
Day one of two weeks just the two of us was a success! Playing, decorating and missing dad.
We made a trip over to Daphne to drop off Logan’s diplomas at the office and play at the purple park. We came home, made a steak, worked on some neighbor Christmas crack, got in the tub and went right to sleep! Ben reminds me of Macaulay Culkin.
We picked and washed oranges for our neighbors, and played around outside. This weather!!!!
Our pool guy Kevin recommended this dolphin pool cleaner. It arrived and we threw it in. I can’t believe how much dirt and grime it got!
We made so many batches of christmas crack, picked more oranges and delivered them all. It took every spoon I had, but was so fun! We have the best neighbors. We even made some homemade orange juice, so yum!
We had some neighbors drop off the cutest Christmas cookies! Played with Playdoh, swam in the tub and had a few funny FaceTime calls.
If you’re wondering what Logan is up to in St. Louis, he is busy writing a 50+ page masters thesis on bonded retainers. Poor dude. He’s also trying to get all of his exit papers, PowerPoints, and god knows what done. He’s stuck in an empty house with only a bed, folding table, barstool and Finn. Ha! He’ll be really happy when this is over. :)
Meanwhile, back in Alabama. We are having a grand time! Staying very busy every day!
Our neighbor that brought the Christmas cookies owns a home bakery and was selling some cookie kits. We had a blast putting them together!
FaceTime with Brielle, Sabrina and Mason. We miss them so much!
Maddy has been making the cutest bows. She sent me one! It goes perfect with our craft advent calendar.
Frogs in the pool and some car naps :)
Benson has mastered the art of flipping the bird. It is quite hilarious!
I bought a dress for Logan’s graduation. I love it but my deep Mormon conditioning gets in my end. Ugh!
My mom arrived today to watch Benson for a few days while I go to St. Louis for Logan’s graduation.
My mom brought him a new stuffed animal. Benson named him Stop and fell asleep with him in his arms :)
Back in St. Louis, Logan is cleaning out his op and gets confirmation his paper was accepted! yay!
